Rachel Edington

Rachel Edington PCLC Counselor

Rachel primarily assists clients suffering from chronic pain and illness, anxiety, depression, and stress related disorders. Having personally overcome chronic pain and anxiety that plagued her for over 25 years, she brings a unique and empathetic approach to her practice. Her journey to recovery has equipped her with a deep understanding of the challenges faced by those suffering from chronic pain. As a result, she is now focused on helping clients begin their journey to wellness and gain freedom from debilitating chronic pain and mental health issues.

Rachel utilizes a mind-body approach to therapy. This includes Pain Reprocessing Therapy, Emotional Awareness and Expression Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness practices.  Her philosophy centers on the belief that with the right tools and support, individuals can significantly reduce or even eliminate chronic pain symptoms, mitigate anxiety and depression, increase resiliency, and improve overall well-being.

Rachel’s academic background includes a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a Crisis focus, both from Liberty University. Additionally, she is a certified as a Pain Reprocessing Therapy specialist from "Pain Reprocessing Therapy Center", holds certification for level 2 DBT from APT, and is trained in Emotional Awareness and Expression Therapy.

As a PCLC, Rachel works under supervision of Christine Hurst and Shelly May and contracts with Integrity Counseling Group, PLLC.
