Chronic Pain Therapy Montana
contracted with Integrity Counseling Group, PLLC

When you're living with chronic pain or illness, your world can become smaller and smaller. Activities you once loved may feel out of reach, and medical tests or treatments may have left you feeling discouraged or dismissed. You may be asking yourself:

  • Why do I still have pain even though my injury has healed?

  • Why can’t I get answers, even after seeing multiple doctors?

  • What if my pain isn't structural—but no one can tell me what’s wrong?

  • I have tried all sorts of medications and treatments, but why I am I still experiencing pain or mind-body symptoms?

  • How do I live with this illness?

If this sounds familiar, you're not alone—and there is hope! Chronic pain, health anxiety, and conditions like insomnia are not just physical experiences, but mind-body ones. This means they are also treatable, and recovery is possible.

We specialize in Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) to help you unlearn your pain and create new neuralpathways, ICBT for Health OCD, and CBT-I for insomnia to help increase sleep efficiency and reset your body’s natural rhythms. Our integrative approach also supports clients navigating anxiety, emotional distress, life transitions, and the invisible toll of chronic illness.

Together, we’ll create a path forward—one that restores safety, builds resilience, and helps you reconnect to life. Whether you're in the thick of pain or feeling worn down by worry, you don’t have to go through this alone.

Despite what society—and even some doctors—may tell you, healing from chronic pain is possible.

Over 110 million people in the U.S. suffer from chronic pain. Emerging research reveals that many of these conditions are neuroplastic in nature: the result of learned neural pathways in the brain or a process called central sensitization. In these cases, the brain and nervous system become stuck in a pain-fear-danger cycle. Pain can occur with or without a structural or biological cause. Likewise pain can persist even after an injury has had time to heal.

If your pain has persisted beyond the typical healing time, if traditional medical treatments haven't helped, or if you’ve been told there’s nothing structurally wrong, pain psychotherapy may help.

We take an integrative, mind-body approach that includes Pain Reprocessing Therapy, Emotional Awareness and Expression Therapy, and nervous system regulation techniques. We will help you retrain your brain to interpret sensations accurately and break free from the pain cycle. â€‹

Our approach aims to help you reduce or eliminate chronic pain and mind-body symptoms—while enhancing your overall quality of life.
